"Care For Kelly" Auction: Richie Sambora on the Big Show!

Richie Sambora paid a visit to the Big Show for the Care For Kelly Auction 2009!

Kelly Mahon Story:   In May 2008, Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora first became aware of the plight of Kelly Mahon, a young lady from Sambora’s hometown of Woodbridge, New Jersey who was diagnosed with a brain tumor during her senior year at Woodbridge High School (Sambora’s alma mater).  Together with WPLJ, he initiated a fundraising campaign that generated over $75,000 for Kelly, which helped offset the massive medical costs incurred by the Mahon family. 

Today, Kelly remains hospitalized, despite receiving medical clearance to go home for overnight visits. In order to do that, the Mahon family home needs to be completely renovated, to allow access for Kelly’s wheelchair. Enter Sambora, who again stepped in to help, personally underwriting the renovations that will allow Kelly to be reunited with her family for the first time since being admitted to the hospital on November 20, 2007.
